Sea lily fossil


Fossils enable one to look back in time..


Here a Sea Lily (hapalocrinus frechi) photographed at Naturalis museum.

Age? Between 360 and 410 million years.. It was found in Bundenbach, Germany, about four hours by road to the nearest sea ;-)

Then, during the Devonian era, the world looked something like this.
